Trinity United Methodist Church

Annapolis, MD

Trinity Church is excited to introduce our new

"Emerging Generations Pastor."

Adam D'Ettorre

Adam's official title is Director of Youth, Young Adult and Outreach Ministries. Informally we are calling him the "Emerging Generations Pastor."

Adam will be working to establish strong relationships with the youth of Trinity Church, then expanding from that base to reach youth in the community. Adam is a strong believer in the ideas and leadership ability of teen-agers, and a major focus will be encouraging and equipping them to grow in these areas.

Many young adults consider themselves spiritual but don't see the need for church. Trinity will be supporting Adam in finding ways to build on this spirituality in ways that feel natural to them but remain biblically grounded, as well as facilitating the activities of the young adults who are already part of the church.

Electronic communications are second nature to young people today. The third part of Adam's job will be making sure that Trinity is making good use of modern communications technologies to reach and relate to emerging generations.

The famous "other duties as assigned" in Adam's job description will include occasional preaching and other pastoral duties in support of Rev. Wentz.

More about Adam from the Trinity Newsletter:

Adam is a very impressive young man.  Following a miraculous healing from a childhood illness, Adam graduated in April, 2008 from Southeastern University in Lakeland, Florida with a Bachelor's Degree in Church Ministry with emphasis on Youth Ministry, earning a cumulative grade point average of 3.9.

Following graduation he gained a year of full-time experience as a youth pastor at a large Presbyterian church in California, as well as experience in a variety of churches during his school years.

Adam is also a worship leader, playing bass, guitar and trombone, and has worked as a disc jockey on Christian radio.  And he has a great sense of humor!

Welcome, Adam and Brittany!

Adam with his beautiful wife, Brittany.  They have been married just under a year.  Brittany plans to continue working on a degree in Speech Pathology before going on to graduate school in the same field.

Adam says:

I grew up in the buckeye country of Ohio. This of course means I am obsessed with Ohio State Football. As a child, I loved the outdoors. I loved searching for arrowheads and morel mushrooms out in the woods as a child.

My wife, Brittany, is exactly the opposite. We met at college five years ago and have been married for ten months now. We have two dogs, Teilah and Spartacus. Teilah is a toy fox terrior ten pounder and Spartacus is a pure bred two pound chihuahua.

I graduated from college two years ago and since then God has been preparing me for this ministry at Trinity. My passions to work with youth and young adults matched perfectly with the vision of this church.

My vision is to show both youth and young adults how amazing the message of Jesus really is and how we can put it into practice. I am passionate about discipling students and empowering them to show Christ to others through their lives. I am also passionate about leading young adults through communities and service in order to help our surrounding area.

As of right now, my wife and I are settling in and absolutely love Annapolis. We couldn't imagine a better place to be and a more welcoming church than Trinity. Thank you for all your support.
