We all have different stories - here's mine.

It’s all about Jesus.

That’s what I’ve head my entire life.

However, the Jesus many people showed through their lives didn’t match the Jesus I read about in the Bible.

You see, my Jesus is powerful, almighty, and beyond anything else, unconditional love. This was the Jesus that rescued my life from death’s hand at age four. I was diagnosed with meningitis and encephalitis. This should have killed me. There’s no reason I should be here today. For some reason, I’m alive.

I shudder every time I see or hear those that claim Jesus was just a good man with great sayings. No good man saved my life. No good man rescued my soul. Only a God could do that. 

I cringe when I hear those speak of the power of God yet live lifeless lives. They have the resources to be Jesus to the masses yet they remain comfortable and safe.

My Jesus wasn’t safe.

In fact, he reversed the social norm by condemning the religious and spending time with those “sinners.”

I strive every day to be who Jesus is and impact my community just as he did.
